How the Arden Tree Program Works

1. Sign up now!
Contact us no later than October 1, 2007 to sign up for
your free trees.
2. After sign up a Forester from the Sacramento Tree
Foundation will come to your home to recommend a
tree location and have you select a tree according to
the Neighborhood Tree Planting Plan. If you aren't
home, a stake will be placed at the recommended tree
location, and a tree list and forms will be left to sign. Forms
include a Tree Care Agreement, approval of tree type and
location, and a County Permit – if needed.
3. Before we dig the hole, we arrange for SMUD and
other utility companies to double check for
underground utilities.
If needed, the Sacramento Tree Foundation will file your
County Permit for FREE!
4. A few days before Planting Day, your tree will be
delivered and a hole will be dug. The hole will be dug
by a rented backhoe.
5. Planting Day starts at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, October
28th, 2007!

others in need of help…we also deliver mulch. We also
need help with refreshments and fliering!
6. Us our Ten-minute-A Year Tree Care checkup to
double your trees growth rate....or let volunteers do it
